Responsible for:
The Senior Project Engineer (Networks & Security) is primarily responsible for the following:
• Deliver signed-off SOWs and balance stakeholder budget, time and quality;
• Lead technical analysis, implementation and deployment;
• Coordinate technical activities with key internal and client stakeholders;
• Develop and document key solution architecture and design aspects;
• Develop technical change requests, migration and test plans;
• Provision proof of concept and pilot environments;
• Support Project Managers in managing scope variations and risks effectively;
• Support Enterprise or Solution Architects in developing scopes and estimates;
• Develop as-built and handover to BAU documentation; and
• Liaise with vendors and service providers to execute technical change.
Experience:
• Minimum 10 years ICT experience, of which:
o At least 3 years should be working in service providers; and
o At least 3 years’ robust hands-on technical implementation experience in applicable core practice area.
• Proven experience or able to demonstrate interest in mentoring other junior staff members on core vendor products and technologies;
• Previous exposure to key vendors is essential, primarily Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto; and
• Exposure to other vendors such as Juniper, Aruba, HP and Dell Networking is highly desirable.
Certifications
• Current Cisco certifications are desirable, specifically:
o Cisco CCNP or CCIE.
