Quality Assurance & Data Support Specialist (WFH)

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Publishing & Collection Management

  • Ensure timely publishing of collections, including setting correct field boundaries.
  • Investigate and fix issues with collection status updates (switching statuses from submitted → lab confirmed → lab complete).
  • Support sample plan generation once the tool is finalized (future responsibility).

2. Quality Assurance & Lab Data Support

  • Support QA checks of lab data using QA tools.
  • Manage reruns of out-of-spec (OOS) samples in coordination with the lab team.

3. Compliance & Safety Tracking

  • Create and update HSSE documentation (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment).
  • Create and update Chain of Custody (COC) documentation.
  • Manage and update GRC tracker entries.

4. Field Support

  • Assist with 811 locator calls (training required for handling calls, emails, and spreadsheet updates).
  • Provide seasonal support in satellite imagery harvest detection by reviewing imagery and marking fields as “harvested” or “not harvested” to prepare for operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Quality Assurance, or related field.
  • At least 2 or more years of experience in data management, quality control, or related roles (preferably in an agricultural or laboratory setting).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data verification and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and basic data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to project-based work environments.
  • Familiarity with QA tools, compliance tracking systems, or HSSE documentation is a plus.
  • Willingness to be trained in field support tasks such as 811 locator calls and harvest detection processes.
  • Open to remote work opportunities, preferably on a graveyard shift schedule, and available for project-based employment with a duration of six months.
