Senior IT Business Analyst | Remote Work

About The Role

Deliver precise functional specifications to include functional hierarchy, workflow, business rules, interface design and definitions, outstanding issues, data analysis, and data mapping to clients and development staff.

Be responsible for translation of customer requirements into comprehensive User Stories, acceptance criteria, and recommending appropriate solutions.

Help build and document specifications for development.

Update and maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix.

Support gap analysis between application and stated customer requirements and collaborate with Architects and Developers to estimate project impact.

Work with Development, QA, and Production Support teams to communicate, verify, and test the desired functionality changes.

Work with the clients to demonstrate the changes to the system to ensure all relevant business needs are addressed.

Develop training materials and provide training in one-on-one or classroom environments.

Manage multiple competing priorities through effective organization and communication.

Leadership Responsibilities:

As a senior member of a small team, you will be expected to:

Attend meetings with clients and the internal team.

Coordinate Delivery Team tasks and assignments, monitor team/tasks progress.

Create, review, and facilitate discussions related to requirements.

Support System test, regression test, smoke test.

Review of Help Desk tickets and responses when needed.

Support Planning and conduct of end-user training sessions. Prepare training materials.

Prepare and review outreach emails and review the outreach user list. Track outreach activities.

Write and review process and procedure documentation. Monitor the use of SOPs.

Support Weekly Agile Release Train Status Meetings to provide updates on team/sprint status

Position Requirements

  • Must have solid hands-on experience with User Stories and know the progression in building User Stories with the customer and their workflows.
  • Bachelors Degree or higher in the technology-related field or relevant experience in implementing software in the Health industry AND; 8 or more years of experience as an Analyst.
  • Understanding of business analysis principles, processes, techniques, and workflows.
  • Ability to develop and prepare use cases, functional specifications, and technical requirements.
  • Ability to understand and represent the needs of the end user in a software development environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong consultative and advisory skills.
  • Past experience with the Health Care IT Systems Development or Centers for Medicare &; Medicaid Services (CMS) preferred
