The Requirement / The Challenge
At the time of contact, The Good Deal is a relative newcomer in the online classifieds field. It is within their plans to become the biggest classifieds platform in the world, with localised ads from the UK, to Asia, all the way to South America. They have within their sights an aggressive expansion within 2014.
The Good Deal had been relying mostly on organic traffic and sign-ups to grow its merchant base. It works, however with the forecasted expansion, the growth is not fast enough and therefore needed reinforcement in the form of Telesales to boost sign-ups. Initially, it was done internally wherein it was proven to be an inefficient use of internal time.
Eastvantage set up a team of experienced Telesales agents to do outbound calls to a list of qualified leads. A team leader was assigned to mentor and coach the team, while a dedicated account manager served as the liaison between the team members and the client based in the United Kingdom.
The team was set up with dedicated VoIP lines with the capability of calling at fantastically low rates to the initial market of North America. The agents’ work hours were also adjusted to the night shift to be able to connect to the leads during peak hours.
Today, the team continues to hit and exceed set targets and the team is growing to include the UK market.
