Senior Manager – Finance & Accounting

The Senior Manager – Finance & Accounting will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, ensuring strong controllership, compliance, and financial reporting. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in finance transformation, risk management, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will drive efficiency, improve processes, and lead a high-performing finance team while ensuring adherence to local and international accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
  • Lead external and internal audits, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor tax compliance, filings, and liaise with tax authorities to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Provide strategic insights through variance analysis, financial modelling, and trend analysis.
  • Identify efficiency improvements within financial processes.
  • Partner with business leaders to provide financial guidance on key strategic decisions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team across multiple locations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial operations and drive business performance.
  • Ensure the finance function aligns with overall business objectives and supports growth initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and ERP enhancements.
  • Drive finance transformation initiatives to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Enhance financial policies and procedures to optimize workflow and operational performance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic financial insights.
  • Represent the finance function in key business meetings and initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent finance/accounting qualification.
  • Experience: 12+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in controllership, compliance, and financial leadership within a multinational or large-scale organization.
  • Strong expertise in IFRS, US GAAP, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Experience in financial systems, ERP implementation (SAP, Oracle, or similar), and process automation.
  • Knowledge of taxation, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive financial strategy and business performance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
