About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the security and resilience of our systems by conducting thorough security testing, identifying vulnerabilities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement mitigation strategies. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive security testing, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, to identify potential risks and weaknesses.
- Utilize advanced security testing tools to analyze and evaluate the security posture of applications, networks, and systems.
- Perform threat modeling and risk assessments to proactively address potential security issues.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to define security requirements and implement best practices.
- Document and report security findings, vulnerabilities, and recommended remediation steps to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Monitor and stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and tools to enhance testing methodologies.
- Participate in security incident response efforts and provide expertise in identifying and mitigating threats.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of security testing processes and frameworks.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in security testing, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with security testing tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus, Metasploit, or similar tools.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of threat modeling, risk assessment methodologies, and secure development practices.
- Compliance Expertise: Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards, including GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Certifications: Related certifications such as CEH, CISSP, OSCP, or similar are a plus but not required.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills for identifying vulnerabilities and developing actionable recommendations.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying technical findings to diverse audiences.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and contribute to a security-focused culture.
