QA Lead

About the role:

We are looking for a QA Lead to join our dynamic testing team. As a QA Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the QA team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. You will manage and mentor a team of 10-15 QA professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Your role will involve strategic planning, client interaction, continuous improvement of QA processes and hands-on testing whenever required.

Responsibilities of QA Lead:

• As a QA Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 10-15 QA Engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure professional growth and high performance.
• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and processes to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Understand project requirements and translate them into effective test plans and test cases.
• Log and manage bug reports based on test execution, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Collaborate with the development team to prioritize and execute test scenarios and perform root cause analysis.
• Engage in regular communication with stakeholders to understand their requirements, provide updates, and address concerns, ensuring a strong relationship.
• Promote and enforce best practices in QA methodologies, including Agile/Scrum, and continuous integration.

Position requirements of the QA Lead role:

• Minimum 7 years of experience with 3 years as a QA lead.
• Proven experience in handling team of minimum 10-12 members.
• Extensive experience in testing web applications, testing approaches risk management and test environments.
• Experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum or Kanban, JIRA and Git is a must.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies and techniques for carrying the responsibilities of QA lead smoothly.
• Basic knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Experience with Automation tools like Selenium is a plus.
• A passion for software product quality assurance with a positive mindset and good communication skills.
• Have a basic understanding Python and Robot Framework would be nice but not required.
