Project Engineer (Infrastructure, EUC & Cloud)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer specializing in Infrastructure, End-User Computing (EUC), and Cloud technologies to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing projects that enhance our organization’s IT infrastructure and services.

• Work set-up: Hybrid
• Shift: 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• Location; BGC, Manila

Roles and Responsibilities

The Project Engineer is primarily responsible for the following:

• Support TLs, (Tech Leads) PMs (Project Managers) and PCs (Project Coordinators) in project delivery and documentation;
• Work across multiple projects and clients simultaneously be it onsite or offsite;
• Assist with the delivery of signed-off SOWs and balance stakeholder budget, time and quality;
• Assist senior members of the team with implementation and deployment;
• Carry out technical activities set by key internal and client stakeholders;
• Action technical change requests, migration and test plans;
• Provision proof of concept and pilot environments;
• Develop as-built and handover to BAU documentation; and
• Liaise with vendors and service providers to execute technical change.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Achieve personal KPIs at all times;
• Other duties as may be delegated by the Business Unit Manager from time to time; and
• Conduct all activities in accordance with company policies and procedures, as may be amended from time to time.

Essential Skills

Technical practice areas and requirements are as follows:

• Public and Private Cloud Platforms including Azure & Office 365
  • Extensive all-round understanding and experience of virtualisation, storage, compute and backup technologies;
  • Solid Microsoft Azure cloud product knowledge and good recent experience in leading implementation and configuration;
  • Strong fundamental understanding of available migration strategies, paths, risks and issues with the relevant products;
  • o Strong experience in leading or supporting cloud transitions into Azure, O365, Azure AD; and
  • Key Vendors: Microsoft Azure, Dell EMC, HPE, AWS, Cisco, VMware, Google Cloud.
• End-User Computing with Intune, SCCM, EMS and Desktop Virtualization
  • Skills in deploying Windows 10 SOE images, applications and updates to desktops and workstations using SCCM/MDT/Intune with integrated device management technologies (Enterprise Mobility + Security)
  • Skills in Design to Configure for Office 365 and Intune platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft Modern Endpoint Management (Windows 10, Intune, AutoPilot, SCCM Co-Management, Enterprise Mobility, iOs and Android).
  • Knowledge of and experience with M365 Information Protection and Compliance Management
  • Knowledge and experience working with most of the below technologies: Microsoft Azure, Modern Workplace (M365), Windows Server and Client, Hybrid Cloud, Knowledge of ITIL procedures & networking practices.
  • Technical and analytical knowledge in the Microsoft Modern Work domain and experience in requirements gathering and solution design.
  • Skills in architecting, implementing or deploying Citrix published applications and/or desktops to end-users; and
  • Key Vendors: Microsoft, Citrix, MobileIron.
• Microsoft Server and Messaging Technologies
  • Windows server and active directory across large scale deployments;
  • Exchange, Skype for Business IM and Presence;
  • Backup and replication, de-duplication; and
  • Key Vendors: Microsoft, Dell EMC.
  • Commercially savvy while maintaining strong ethics and respecting client confidentiality;
  • Ability to learn new product updates and technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years ICT experience, of which:
  • At least 3 years should be working in service providers; and
  • At least 2 years’ robust hands-on technical implementation experience in applicable core practice area.
• Previous exposure to key vendors such as Microsoft Azure, Dell EMC, HPE, AWS, Cisco, VMware, Google Cloud, Citrix and MobileIron.

• Possess a thirst for knowledge, a desire to develop skills and learn from more senior members of the team.

Certification

• Current technical vendor certifications across key vendors aforementioned are highly desirable;
