We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented IT Asset Management Analyst to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our asset tracking system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments globally to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of all IT assets from acquisition to disposal. This includes coordinating with procurement for new assets, tracking assets during their use, scheduling maintenance, and overseeing the disposal process when assets are no longer needed.
- Reporting: Generate detailed reports on inventory status, asset utilization, depreciation, and other key metrics. Present findings to management and recommend actions based on data insights. Analyze Inventory Data minimize discrepancies and identify areas for improvement.
- Forecasting: Assist in forecasting future asset needs based on historical data, current trends, and anticipated changes in demand.
- Physical Inventories and Audits: Conduct regular physical inventories and audits to reconcile physical assets with system records. Investigate and resolve discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
- Global Coordination: Coordinate with teams in India, Morocco, Bulgaria, Philippines, and Belgium to ensure consistent asset management practices across all locations.
- Project Management: Lead and manage projects related to IT assets, ensuring timely and successful completion.
Compliance and Documentation
- Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to asset management. Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all inventory transactions. Ensure documentation is complete and readily accessible for audits and inspections.
- SOP Development: Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to inventory management. Train staff in these procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in the related field
- Experience with inventory management systems and database management.
- Experience with asset inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to convey information clearly and effectively to various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a managed service provider environment.
- Knowledge of compliance regulations related to IT asset management, including ISO27001 and PEZA.
- Certification in IT Asset Management (e.g., ITIL, IAITAM) are advantageous.
- Compliance: Ensure all IT assets comply with relevant regulations and organizational policies, including ISO27001, PEZA, and other global regulations.
