About the role:
Crucial role as value-add strategic partners, providing quality analysis, reporting, and forecasting that generate insights
- Be a strong business partner to the CFO and Portfolio Credit Strategy Head
- Partner and collaborate with other functions in support of finance goals
- Support the monthly forecasting and close processes including balance sheet reconciliation
- Establish and manage processes for monthly business reviews, dashboards and executive team reporting.
- Track risks and opportunities to forecast with transparency to finance leadership to mitigate surprises
- Identify control gaps and present recommendations for improvements/mitigation
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
- Analyze financial data and create financial models (for EON Experiment as well as for BAU later)
- Report on financial performance and preparing for regular leadership reviews
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans
- Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
- Budgeting, financial modeling, product profitability, cost allocation, loan tape, management reporting (portfolio health, cohort analysis, product unit economics, repayments forecast)-
- Support annual budgeting process and strategic business operating plans in data analysis
- Database development: designing database tables and structures; creating views, functions and stored procedures; writing optimized SQL queries for integration
- Assist and support the Finance & Treasury team with Financial Planning & Analysis.
- Ad-hoc financial analysis, analytical modeling, and corporate consolidation

Position requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field required
- 3+ years of experience in FP&A in a corporate setting required
- Experience in mortgage, real estate, accounting, commercial banking or investment banking a plus
- Proficiency in financial planning tools a plus (Workday, Oracle, Adaptive, TM1, Tableau, Hyperion, etc.)
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and accounting software
- Experience building a bridge (waterfall) with regard to forecast vs actuals Required
- Experience with variance analytics, including root cause analysis, identifying drivers and ability to articulate assumptions and interpretations
- Capable of managing changing priorities with ease and poise
