Finance Analyst

The Finance Analyst – Record to Report (R2R) is responsible for leading and managing the organization’s financial accounting and reporting processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate financial close activities, adherence to accounting standards, and the preparation of both statutory and management financial statements that accurately reflect the business’s financial health.

As a member of the R2R team, you will oversee general ledger maintenance, financial consolidation, and the month-end and year-end closing processes. You’ll also be responsible for generating key financial reports and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders, including FP&A, Business Finance, Procure-to-Pay, Tax, Treasury, and Marketplace teams, to support financial integrity and drive continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update the General Ledger (GL) to accurately capture all financial transactions.
• Conduct and review account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and ensuring timely adjustments.
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring completeness and compliance with internal deadlines and standards.
• Oversee the execution of month-end checklists, including the review of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Accurately record all accruals, provisions, and necessary adjustments.
• Prepare annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards.
• Deliver management reporting packs, highlighting key financial metrics (e.g., sales, inventory, COGS), performance trends, and variances.
• Support business decision-making through in-depth financial analysis.
• Manage VAT reporting and ensure timely submission.
• Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of intercompany transactions by coordinating with relevant teams.
• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing and organizing necessary documentation.
• Uphold internal controls related to financial reporting and transaction recording.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the R2R function, focusing on automation, accuracy, and reporting efficiency.
• Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Postgraduate or professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience managing complex financial operations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Language requirements: Fluency in French and English.
