ETL Developer

About the Role:

As an ETL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL workflows, ensuring data is accurately extracted, transformed, and loaded into our data warehouse and other systems. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to build efficient and scalable data pipelines. You should have experience with various ETL tools, database management systems, and scripting languages.

  • Work set-up: Onsite
  • Shift: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Location: Ortigas, Pasig

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources to data warehouses or other storage systems.
  • Implement and maintain data pipelines that ensure data integrity, quality, and accuracy throughout the ETL lifecycle.
  • Optimize ETL workflows for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and define data integration strategies.
  • Work with database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server to integrate data into structured formats.
  • Write and maintain scripts (e.g., Python or Perl) for automating data extraction, transformation, and loading tasks.
  • Perform data validation and troubleshooting to ensure that the ETL process runs smoothly and that data is accurate and available.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs to ensure on-time data delivery, identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of data warehousing solutions.
  • Document ETL processes, data models, and data mappings.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in ETL development, including working with ETL tools and data integration.
  • Proficiency in database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts, architecture, and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Perl for automating data processes.
  • Experience designing and developing ETL workflows to support data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of data integration best practices, including error handling, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as ICP (IBM Certified Programmer) or Microsoft-related certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with cloud-based data integration tools and platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Familiarity with Big Data tools (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
