About The Role
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, construct, test and maintain ETL/ELT architectures
Work with Architects to ensure development work aligns with business requirements
Data acquisition and ingestion for data at rest or streaming data
Utilize ETL tools to build and deploy data ingestion and transformation pipelines
Use enterprise orchestration tools
Translate ETL from Source to Target documentation and from one ETL tool to another
Will be responsible for conversion of ETL Tools or re-directing ETL Jobs to utilize the cloud as a target data source
Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
Ensure accuracy & integrity of data & applications through analysis, coding, writing clear documentation; problem resolution
Analyse & translate functional specifications & change requests into technical specifications
Develop, test & implement program logic
Translate business needs into end-user applications
Experience with implementing cloud data warehouses with Snowflake, AWS
Redshift, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, or similar technologies
Experience with building data pipelines – using a variety of different technologies; Apache Spark, AWS Glue
Strong understanding of SQL
Experience gathering and tracking requirements
Highly analytical and curious
Demonstrated problem-solving skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with high tolerance to change management
Scala and/or Python programming language
Cloud ETL Tools such as Apache Spark, AWS Glue, Databricks
.NET and C# programming language is a plus.
Knowledge of Git for source control
Agile / SAFe experience a plus.
