DevOps Engineer

About the role:

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be working together with the development and infra team to support the development process. Tasks include setting up CI/CD pipelines, setting up and using monitoring tools, providing system backups and restores, updating configurations of existing infrastructure, all to support the development process.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with developers on application requirements including but not limited to storage and networking requirements
• Coordinate with Platform Engineers for the technical implementation of defined application requirements
• Define continuous integration pipelines applicable for applications
• Patch package and library requirements for applications
• Collaboration: Emphasize collaboration between development and operations teams to streamline processes.
• Automation: Focus on implementing and managing automated tools and processes for building, testing, and deploying applications.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): DevOps engineers work with IaC tools to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure.
• CI/CD: Responsible for setting up and maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
• Monitoring and Logging: Implement monitoring tools and logging systems to track system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Configuration Management: Manage configurations consistently across different environments.
• Security: Collaborate with security teams to integrate security measures into the development and deployment processes.
• Release Management: Coordinate and manage software releases, ensuring a smooth release process.

Required Skills:

• Version Control: GitLab or equivalent
• CI/CD: GitLab CI or equivalent
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
• IaC: Terraform, Ansible
• Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack
• Cloud: AWS, Azure (nice to have), GCP (nice to have)
• Scripting: Python, Bash
• Security Tools (nice to have): Secrets Management, SAST (eg. SonarQube), DAST (eg. Burp, OWASP ZAP)

Certifications:

• Formal Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering
• Cloud-Specific: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer
• Containerization: Docker Certified Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator/Developer
• Automation & Security (nice-to-have): Red Hat Certified Engineer, HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate

Non-technical requirements:

• Amenable to report onsite 3x/week in BGC, Taguig
• Willing to work on mid-shift schedule
