Dell Storage Administrator

Job Description:

As a Dell Storage Administrator at Eastvantge, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Dell storage infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of Dell storage solutions, including Dell EMC Unity, PowerStore, and related technologies.   • Shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM


  1. Storage Infrastructure Management:
    • Administer, configure, and optimize Dell storage solutions to meet the organization’s performance and capacity requirements.
    • Monitor and maintain storage health, implementing adjustments for optimal efficiency.
  2. Deployment and Integration:
    • Plan and execute the deployment of Dell storage systems, ensuring seamless integration with the existing IT infrastructure.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network and system administrators, to achieve unified solutions.
  3. Data Protection and Recovery:
    • Configure and manage data backup and recovery solutions for Dell storage systems.
    • Develop and implement disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical data.
  4. Performance Tuning:
    • Monitor and analyze storage performance metrics, identifying opportunities for optimization.
    • Implement tuning adjustments to enhance the performance of storage environments.
  5. Capacity Planning:
    • Conduct capacity planning to forecast future storage needs.
    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure scalability in alignment with business growth.
  6. Security and Compliance:
    • Implement and maintain security measures to protect stored data.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
  7. Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of storage configurations, processes, and procedures.
    • Create documentation for troubleshooting and operational purposes.
  8. Troubleshooting and Support:
    • Provide support for storage-related issues and incidents, participating in on-call rotations if required.
    • Collaborate with vendors and support teams to resolve technical challenges.


  • 4+years of experience as a Storage Administrator, with a focus on Dell storage solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Dell EMC Unity, PowerStore, and associated storage technologies.
  • Familiarity with storage protocols, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and NFS.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions, RAID configurations, and data deduplication.
  • Understanding of security measures and compliance requirements related to storage.
