The Claims Ambassador plays a pivotal role in the seamless processing of claims, serving as a liaison between customers and internal/external teams. This role involves meticulously evaluating claim submissions, coordinating with various departments for swift resolution, and engaging with customers to ensure clarity and satisfaction throughout the claims process. This role reports directly to the Claims Officer, ensuring smooth communication and guidance within the claims department.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Triaging incoming claims by assessing eligibility based on predefined criteria.
- Reviewing incoming claims for accuracy and completeness.
- Contacting customers to follow up on any pending submission of documents or information required for claim processing.
- Assigning cases to the appropriate internal teams for handling and resolution.
- Explaining claim denials to customers in a clear and empathetic manner.
- Liaising with external institutions for verification and validation purposes.
- Keeping customers informed about the status of their claims through regular updates.
- Recording and maintaining accurate and up-to-date data in our tracking systems for efficient processing and reporting.
- Address and resolve any concerns or queries related to claims promptly and professionally through effective communication channels.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Operations Team.
Qualification & Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in claims handling or within the insurance industry.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with customers and external entities.
- Attention to detail in assessing claim documentation and ensuring completeness.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of claim processing procedures and relevant regulations is preferred.
- Experience in customer service or claims handling would be advantageous.
