Business Consultant – FIX Protocol

With the continued growth of footprint in the global Front Office market, we invest into growing the related capabilities in FO technologies and especially the FIX protocol.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and own the entire lifecycle of onboarding, run and change for high-touch, algorithmic and program trading over FIX, across all asset classes
  • Help meet client SLAs on FIX connectivity up-time and change processes as part of a global 24/5 team
  • System configuration to on-board FIX order and allocation flows for clients
  • Co-ordinate and run certification sessions with clients and third-party providers
  • Create and test FIX customizations to facilitate new client and internal desk requirements
  • Write and maintain accurate FIX documentation
  • Maintain record of vendors and functionality that has been certified on the platform
  • Identify and assist in resolution of risks and issues that will adversely affect planned project milestones

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Accounting, Mathematics or Physics
  • 5+ years of experience at a financial institution, a consultancy firm or a service provider
  • IT Finance industry experience
  • Excellent knowledge of the FIX Protocol is essential (minimum 5 years)
  • Knowledge of front office trade life cycle, including OMS/EMS functionalities and corresponding order execution workflows
  • Knowledge of middle and back-office workflows is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of financial instruments, such as equities, listed derivatives and FX, is essential
  • Basic knowledge of physical networking concepts and troubleshooting
  • Experience of reading and configuring XML files, including ATDL
  • Experience managing multiple deliverables, delivering to demanding and mandatory deadlines
  • You are a self-starter with strong communication skills and a high degree of team spirit
  • Experience working in a globally matrixed organization is a plus
  • Very good English language skills
