The Business Analyst is responsible for the design of the business process automation, software applications functional design, implementation, and post implementation review/assessment. This includes business case preparation, requirements gathering, high-level design, software application packages evaluation, implementation, quality assurance, testing, and post implementation support. His/ Her area of responsibilities shall cover the following:
- Determination of business requirement for new application development or process automation, and provides support for existing applications.
- Analysis, development, and implementation of information systems to support the company application needs.
- Feasibility study and implementation of solutions/enhancements on information systems based on new user requirements.
- Documentation of Business Case, Key Processing and Reporting Requirements (KPRR), IT Systems, IT Policies.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
- Design/Develop software solutions by studying information needs, investigating problem areas, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; following the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Determines operational feasibility of the business software applications by conducting analysis, problem definition, requirements, and solutions development.
- Prepares a detailed development plan, implementation plan, deployment plan, and users training plan.
- Ensures that all documentation (Software Requirements Specification, Database Structure, Systems Manual, Users’ Manual) that pertain to specific software applications are produced and updated.
- Develops software evaluation criteria and test data/ scripts to determine the software’s capability to address the company’s information and data processing requirements.
- Provides inputs to improve business processes by conducting systems analysis and recommending realignments in policies and procedures due to automation.
- Evaluates the latest software products/ versions available to improve the company’s business processes and recommends the most cost-effective and efficient ones for implementation.
- Periodically monitors the performance of all software applications in live production.
- Coordinates and facilitates meetings and prepares materials, agendas, minutes (including action items) and presentations.
- Provides online telephone and onsite support assistance to all users when necessary.
- Performs other activities that may be deemed necessary to ensure the normal operating conditions of all software products being used by the company.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- B.S. IN Information & Computer Science, B.S. Math, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Equivalent
- 2-3 Years experience in Systems Analysis and Design, Project Management, Software Implementation, Computer Programming, Database Management and ERP/SAP (FICO, MM, FlexRE, Project Systems)
